Suit with Two Pairs of Trousers: Planning the Second Pair at Order Time for MTM Clients
Trousers wear faster than the jacket: seat, inner thigh and hems take the friction. For a client who wears a suit three or four days a week, a second pair is the cheapest way to extend the life of the whole suit — and for the shop, it is a natural add-on at the measuring appointment. The planning question is when to order it.
Order it with the suit, or later?
Same comparison as a list
Cloth: ordered together, both pairs come from the same lot; later, availability and lot must be checked.
Shade: ordered together, the shade matches the jacket; later, a lot difference can show.
Fit: ordered together, one brief; later, the fit record is reused and may need re-checking.
Clock: ordered together, one order and one clock; later, a separate order with its own clock.

What to write in the brief
"Two pairs of trousers, identical" — or name what differs.
If the second pair differs, say how: a different hem finish (plain or turn-up), pleats on one pair, side adjusters on one and belt loops on the other.
Cloth quantity is then calculated for the jacket plus two pairs; confirm cloth availability in writing for that quantity.
If the client asks for a second pair later
Ask first on WhatsApp +65 8013 8838 with the original order number. Two things are confirmed in writing before anything is locked:
Cloth: is the same reference available, and from which lot? If the original lot is gone, the client sees a swatch or a photo against the jacket before deciding.
Fit: the original fit record is the start. If the client's waist or seat has changed, re-measure — the client fit record post covers what to update.
A later pair is a new order: production runs 14–21 days after cloth and measurements are locked. Production days are not delivery days.

A note for the fitting room
Hand both pairs over at the same fitting and try both on. If one pair needs a hem adjustment, note it in the fit record so the next order starts correct.
