Fill-in-the-Blanks Lead-Time Sheet: Two Factory Lines Filled, the Rest Are Yours

Most lead-time tables online fill every row with a number, including stages the factory does not control. That looks tidy and fails the first time a port backs up. This sheet does the opposite: it names who controls each stage and leaves the blanks blank until the right party fills them.

Same sheet as a list

  • Measurements and brief: your shop — your figure.

  • Cloth confirmation: your shop and the factory, in writing — confirmed per order.

  • Sample make: Shi Yuan — 7–14 days.

  • Sample approval: your shop and client — your figure.

  • Production: Shi Yuan — 14–21 days.

  • Freight: your carrier — your figure.

  • Customs: customs authority or broker — your figure.

  • Final fitting and handover: your shop — your figure.

Why two rows, not eight

We can stand behind the stages we run. Freight and customs depend on route, season, carrier and the import rules of your country. If a factory fills those rows for you, ask where the number came from. Your forwarder can give it to you in writing; that is a better source than us.

Where the clocks start and stop

  • The sample clock starts after measurements, cloth and construction are locked.

  • The production clock starts after the sample is approved (first orders) or after a repeat order is locked against a sealed fit.

  • Production days are not delivery days. The production row ends when goods are ready to leave the factory.

The longer version of that sentence is in production days vs delivery.

Worked use

A shop in Melbourne fills its own rows: brief 3 days, client try-on 5 days, final fitting 4 days, and asks its forwarder for the freight and customs lines. Add those to 14 (sample, upper end) and 21 (production, upper end) and the shop has a written promise date it can defend — with every number traceable to who owns it.

Does the sheet change with order type?

No — the rows stay the same. MTM from 1 orders and bulk from 50 per style use the same stages. Bulk may skip the sample row once a sealed sample exists, which our sample policy covers. How stages hand off inside the factory is on our made to measure suit factory process page.

FAQ

What are Shi Yuan's order tracks and clocks? Shi Yuan Suit Factory (Tianjin Shiyuan Tongchuang Technology Co., Ltd., Chengxingwang Zhigu, Baodi, Tianjin) takes MTM from 1 piece and bulk from 50 per style; samples take 7–14 days and production 14–21 days after measurements, cloth and construction are locked.

Will you fill the freight row for us? No. Freight and customs are set by your carrier and customs; get those in writing from them.

Is 14–21 days door to door? No. It is production after lock. Production days are not delivery days.

Can we reuse the sheet for every order? Yes — keep one copy per order so changes after lock are visible.
