Notch, Peak, or Shawl Lapel: Lock the Style Before Sample

Lock lapel style in the sample brief before the 7–14 day clock starts. A lapel is the folded flap of cloth on the front of a jacket below the collar. There are three basic forms: notched, peaked, and shawl. Notched is the most common on business suits; peaked is more formal and nearly always used on double-breasted jackets; shawl is usually seen on tuxedos and mess jackets (Lapel, Wikipedia).

A sealed sample cannot fix a lapel choice that was never written down for bulk from 50.

FAQ

What are the three basic lapel forms?

Notched, peaked, and shawl. Notched is most common on business suits; peaked is more formal; shawl is usually carried by tuxedos and mess jackets.

When must lapel style be locked at Shi Yuan?

In the written sample brief before the 7–14 day sample clock. Bulk from 50 follows the sealed sample and that written style.

Can lapel style be changed after the sealed sample?

Treat it as a new style decision. Re-approve in writing; do not assume a chat photo overrides the sealed sample for bulk.
