ISPM 15 Wood Packaging: When Suit Export Pallets Need Treatment Marks

When suit cartons ship on raw-wood pallets, crates, or dunnage, import countries often expect ISPM 15 compliance. ISPM 15 (Regulation of wood packaging material in international trade) describes phytosanitary measures that reduce the risk of introduction and spread of quarantine pests associated with wood packaging made from raw wood. It covers dunnage and excludes wood packaging made from wood processed so that it is free of pests (for example plywood), as stated on the IPPC publication page (ISPM 15, IPPC).

Who buys compliant pallets depends on your written shipping scope (for example EXW vs other terms). Shi Yuan does not invent logistics certificates here.

Tie-in to factory terms

Agree shipping scope in writing with the order. Sample 7–14 days; production 14–21 days after sealed-sample approval; bulk from 50. We do not claim heat-treatment temperatures or certificates that are not in the written logistics plan.

"Wood-pallet and ISPM 15 responsibility follow the written shipping scope on the order. We do not invent logistics marks or certificates outside what that scope says." — Shi Yuan Suit Factory (statement built from published factory policy)

FAQ

What is ISPM 15?

ISPM 15 is the IPPC standard on regulation of wood packaging material in international trade. It describes phytosanitary measures that reduce pest risks from wood packaging made from raw wood, including dunnage, and excludes certain processed wood packaging free of pests (e.g. plywood).

Who arranges ISPM 15 pallets for Shi Yuan exports?

It depends on the written shipping scope (for example under EXW the buyer often arranges main carriage and related packaging). Put the responsible party in the order notes.

Does this post state heat-treatment temperatures?

No. Stick to the ISPM 15 scope on the IPPC page; confirm treatment details with your forwarder or the pallet supplier when marks are required.
