Fitting rooms compare handfeel; factories cut from written fields. When a client says “more English” or “more Italian,” the shop still has to translate that into a brief a China MTM plant can execute. This page lists brief fields only. It is not a mill ranking, and it does not claim which cloths we hold in stock or at what weight.
What “English vs Italian” usually means in a shop
Shops often use the labels as shorthand for drape, spring, and finish — not as a passport stamp. Two clients can mean opposite things by the same word. Capture the sensory notes, then attach a cloth name, mill code or CMT swatch.
