Handoff to overseas custom shops, MTM boutiques, and private-label brands centers on what was produced vs the sealed sample, plus practical shipping documents such as a packing list. What “handoff” means here

Handoff is the moment goods leave the factory side toward your arranged freight, with enough paperwork and QC reference that your receiving team can check cartons against the order. Ex-works partner quotes usually place international freight on your side unless written otherwise.

QC vs sealed sample (the make standard)

Factory QC references:

• Your sealed sample (when you sealed in writing)

• The agreed construction (fused / half canvas / full canvas)

• The confirmed size / quantity breakdown

If you never sealed, say so early—volume risk rises. Third-party inspection can be arranged on request and quoted separately.

Packing list (typical contents to request)

Ask that the packing list state, as applicable:

• Style / SKU description (suit / jacket-only / trouser-only)

• Size breakdown per carton

• Piece counts

• Your PO or WhatsApp order reference

• Gross / net weight if needed for your forwarder

• Carton count

We will not invent HS codes for every destination here; your broker may specify what else they need—forward that list on WhatsApp before ship.

What we will not claim as default documents

• Named “ISO / luxury maison” certificates we have not agreed to provide

• Fake IP or award paperwork we never issued

• A universal commercial invoice template for every country’s import rules

If your market needs a specific statement (fiber content, origin wording), request it in writing before production confirmation.

Suggested pre-ship checklist for buyers

1. Confirm ex-works vs any added freight line in the quote

2. Confirm carton marks (brand name—your label)

3. Confirm packing list fields your forwarder needs

4. Confirm whether unfinished trouser hems are intentional

5. Confirm sample fee credit status if this is first bulk (written only)

6. Book pickup / courier to Baodi address coordination if required
