Sample Suit Fee Before Bulk — What to Confirm on WhatsApp (No Assumed Credit)
Sample Suit Fee Before Bulk — What to Confirm on WhatsApp (No Assumed Credit)
Many OEM pages say "sample fee credited to first production." That sentence is meaningless until it is your written term with your factory. This post is a buyer checklist for what to lock on WhatsApp before you pay for a sample — not a promise of any credit percentage from Shi Yuan.
We will not invent a credit policy in this article. Ask; get it in writing; then proceed.
Why "credited" claims break without a checklist
Shops lose money when:
the sample is paid, but "credit" was only mentioned on a sales call;
bulk is split across two POs and nobody said which PO receives the credit;
the sample style differs from the bulk style and the factory treats them as unrelated;
currency, deposit, and courier fees were never listed as in or out of the credit.
A checklist beats a slogan.

WhatsApp confirm checklist (copy / paste)
Send these as numbered questions. Do not pay the sample invoice until answers 1–8 are answered in the same chat or email thread.
Sample fee amount and currency — what exactly am I paying for (make only / make + cloth / make + courier)?
Is any part of that fee applied to a later bulk PO? — yes / no / conditional.
If yes, which PO? — first bulk only / any bulk within X months / only same style & cloth.
Minimum bulk that triggers any credit — state the number; our bulk track starts at from 50, but credit rules are separate and must be written.
What happens if I cancel after sample? — fee kept / partial / other (get the words).
Remake after defect — who pays the remake sample; does it affect any credit talk?
Courier and duties — buyer-paid or included; credited or never credited.
Written confirmation — "please reply with the eight answers in one message I can screenshot."
Optional ninth: ask who signs the commercial confirmation (name / role).
What we can state without inventing credit math
Operational facts that do not depend on credit language:
Dual track: MTM from 1 · bulk from 50.
Sample window: 7–14 days after measurements + cloth + construction lock.
Production window: 14–21 days after written sample approval.
Production days ≠ delivery days.
How samples are scoped: sample policy. How bulk follows a seal: manufacturing.
Honest posture for Shi Yuan readers
If you ask us about sample fee handling, we answer that thread in writing for your order. Do not copy a competitor’s "credited" sentence into our brief and assume it applies. Equally, do not skip the checklist because a blog post sounded friendly.

FAQ
Q: Does this page say Shi Yuan credits sample fees?
A: No. It tells you what to confirm so you are not guessing.
Q: Can I start with MTM from 1 then go bulk from 50?
A: Yes — that is the normal path. Credit terms, if any, still need a written answer on the checklist above.
Worked example (hypothetical)
A Dubai clothier paid a sample, then opened 60 units. Their chat had never defined credit. They lost a week arguing. On the next programme they sent the eight questions first, got a one-message reply, and both sides booked the same expectation.
Sample fee vs courier vs duties (separate lines)
Even when factories discuss "credit," courier and import duty on the sample often sit outside that conversation. Ask explicitly:
Is DHL/FedEx prepaid and added to my invoice?
If I arrange collect shipping, does any credit math change?
Are sample duties in my country my problem only?
Write the answers under the same eight-point checklist.
Timing: when to ask
Ask before the sample invoice is paid — not after bulk is cut. Credit language added after goods are finished is how disputes start.
Relation to dual track
A shop may pay one sample under MTM from 1, then open bulk from 50. Whether money moves between those POs is exactly question 2–4 on the checklist. We will not let a Blog post invent the bridge.
