A "tech pack" that is only a moodboard forces the factory to invent your product. For private-label programmes heading to bulk from 50, lock the minimum fields below before you ask for a sample. You can still run MTM from 1 trials with a lighter brief — but graded bulk needs the pack.

Why these fields exist (buyer risk)
Missing vent length → remake.
Missing shade lot plan → colourway drift on reorder.
Missing label art → goods held at pack.
Missing size chart → bulk from 50 becomes fifty arguments.
Sample after locks: 7–14 days. Production after written seal: 14–21 days. Production ≠ delivery.

Q: Can I start sample with photos only?
A: Photos help; they do not replace size chart, construction, and cloth code for private label.
Q: Do you need bilingual packs?
A: English is enough for our export team. Clear numbers beat decorative slides.
Q: Is unfinished hem allowed as a field?
A: Yes — write it explicitly so bulk does not hem to a guessed length.
Worked example (hypothetical)
A Berlin label sent lookbook crops and asked for 80 units. We returned the minimum-field table with eight blanks. They filled vents, shoulder, and label art, ran one sample in 7–14, sealed, then ordered bulk from 50 (actually 80) without a second remake. The week spent on fields saved a month of arguments.
Anti-patterns
"Same as last season" with no style code.
Celebrity photo with no measurable lapel width.
One front photo for a double-vent jacket.
Size run as "mix" without a chart.
Photo set that supports the pack
Minimum photos with the pack (even before sample):
Front mannequin or fit model, jacket buttoned.
Side silhouette.
Back (vents visible).
Lapel / buttonhole detail.
Trouser front and back.
Cropped hero shots without a back view are why double vents get guessed wrong.
Version control
Name files STYLECODE_techpack_v3.pdf. When you change one field, bump the version and say what changed in WhatsApp. Silent PDF swaps are how bulk from 50 ships the wrong shoulder.
